Synopsis
The
EMT-Basic Review Manual for National Certification is designed to
prepare you to sit for the National Certification Exam by including
the same type of skill-based and multiple-choice questions that
you are likely to see on the exam. The review manual will also evaluate
your mastery of the material presented in your EMT-Basic training
program. By completing the practice questions and exercises in this
review manual, you will be able to identify any weak areas you may
have, allowing you to adjust your pre-exam studies accordingly.
The
EMT-Basic Review Manual for National Certification includes:
* practice questions with answers and model exam
*step-by-step walkthrough of skills including helpful tips, commonly
made errors, and sample scenarios
*self-scoring guide and winning test taking tips
*coverage of the entire 1994 US DOT EMT-Basic curriculum
Organized in four sections, the review manual covers:
*Section
I: Overview of the 1994 EMT-Basic National Standard Curriculum.
*Section
II: Provides a total of 300 practice questions that are similar
in style to what the candidate is likely to encounter on EMS certification
exams.
*Section
III: Provides the candidate with information about the EMT-Basic
practical examination. This section includes copies of the performance
skill sheets, requirements for successful completion of each skill,
common errors made during the performance of each skill, and hints
on how to "recover" should the candidate make a mistake
during the performance of a skill.
*Section IV:
Provides answers and detailed rationales to the practice questions
in section II.
